What is the Unique Identifier?

During the workflow creation process, still in the first stage, we must insert a unique identifier. Basically, it is the item whose response will be used to identify the workflow in the list of already started flows.

As an example, the identifier can be a license plate, the name of a process, sector, machine, or other parameters that facilitate organization.

Item requirements

To be used as a Unique Identifier, your checklist item must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a mandatory field;
  • Be of the scale: Short text, ZIP code, Phone, CNPJ, CPF, License plate, Barcode, or Product;
  • Not be dependent on another item (must not have dependency logic).

How to select the Identifier

During the creation of your Workflow, you can select one of the qualified items to be used as an identifier in the corresponding field:

Note: If the Workflow has already been started at least once, it will not be possible to change the item used as the Unique Identifier.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

 1. Can I use a selection item as an identifier?

No. The identifier must be one of the permitted text scales, such as Short Text or License Plate, to ensure the uniqueness of the identification.

 2. Why can't I change the identifier of an active workflow?

This occurs to maintain data integrity and the history of flows that have already been processed under that original identification.
