In Checklist Fácil, we offer options to deactivate and delete various resources, such as units, checklists, departments, and user types. In this article, we will better understand how each option behaves and where to use them.
Deactivate resources
When deactivating a resource in Checklist Fácil, it will no longer be accessible for immediate use, but all data and information related to the resource will be preserved in the system.
We can use a checklist as an example: when deactivating it, it will not be possible to apply it to any unit; however, previous evaluations made with this checklist remain available in Applied Checklists.
The same occurs with a user: when deactivated, their history of evaluations and activities is maintained for future consultations, but access to the system (login) is blocked.
Delete resources
When we delete a resource, it is removed from your system records. It is important to remember that this action will also remove other data linked to the resource in question.
Attention: When deleting a checklist, the evaluations and applied checklists based on it are also removed, as the system loses the base structure necessary to maintain the responses.
The same process occurs when a unit or user is deleted: everything performed by that user or within that unit ceases to exist in the system structure, as the main link has been removed.
What do we recommend?
Due to the effects of deletion, we generally recommend that only the deactivation of resources be performed.
Tip: Use deactivation to keep the data history intact. Only use deletion if the resource has no links (such as a checklist that has never been applied) or if there is full awareness of the loss of related data.
